Printmaker‘s Day 15 March 2022
Recently published artwork: served in three courses
This year at The Fork and Broom Press Printmaker‘s Day will be served – so to speak – as a three-course menu:
As starter there will be news here online at the studio‘s webspace about the artwork recently published plus background information on some backlist works that so far have not been documented on the webspace in such detail.
The next course will be served at the BuchDruckKunst fair in the Museum der Arbeit in Hamburg-Barmbek from 1 to 3 April. Artist‘s books, broadsheets and prints will then be on the table to see and touch and feel in real. The fair is being held on the premises of the Museum der Arbeit and, as always during book fair times, the museum‘s many volunteers will proof their expertise and show visitors the wonders of the world of traditional printing: composing by hand and with machines, cutting wood type, papermaking, bookbinding and the various printmaking techniques like letterpress, intaglio and lithography.

For pudding, or dessert if you prefer, Printmaker‘s Day will be held in summer on the premises of the studio The Fork and Broom Press in Oppenwehe. Details will be finalised nearer to the date and published in due course on the studio‘s website. So: stay tuned and watch this space!
