At The Fork and Broom Press there will be two events related to Printmaker‘s Day this year.
We‘ll have an online event on 15 March and the exhibition in our bespoke gallery-turned-barn in summer.
Printmaker‘s Day traditionally is on 15 March. This is the day on which, in the year 2018, artistic printmaking techniques, like relief printing, letterpress and many others, have been awarded cultural heritage status. At The Fork and Broom Press on 15 March 2023 work published since the last Printmaker‘s Day will be presented together with information about the how and why the art work was made. Add to this: there will be detailed information about the exhibition to come in summer.

On 1 and 2 July 2023, all the new art work will be on show in our beautiful barn. For this brief period it will turn into a bespoke gallery space, like it did last year for the Wayzgoose. All visitors are welcome to have a go at printing themselves on our old handmoved printing press, which has made the barn its home. This event will not only be part of the activities related to Printmaker‘s Day. It will also be part of Culture Weeks in the region along what is called LandArt-Route 5. There will be a program in due course and details will be on here once everthing is finalised.
